Jefferson has two options for baseball: The township's recreation league and a travel team called the Jefferson Lightning. Both programs are governed by USABL.

Rec baseball starts at the t-ball level and is co-ed, where Lightning baseball begins in 2nd grade and requires a prior tryout. The two biggest differences between these options are skills and cost. Since the Rec option is open to everyone in the town, regardless of skill level, it's more affordable. The Lightning team is a travel-base program, so in addition to the extra step of trying out, it also requires a higher registration fee, which you can read about below.

The Jefferson Basketball Association (JBA) is a non-profit organization for boys and girls.

It serves young athletes from kindergarten through high school who are dedicated to developing their basketball skills. Located in Jefferson Township, NJ, the program focuses on nurturing talent and promoting growth in youth basketball players.

Jefferson Township Recreation Cheerleading Association is a Non-Profit cheer program.

Our program teaches cheerleaders good sportsmanship, promotes social and physical development for children ranging in age from Kindergarten to 8th grade. We are located in Jefferson Township, NJ.

The JYFL is committed to creating an environment based upon trust and respect from players, coaches and parents.

It is their hope that every young person who enters the program will develop a lifelong love of football while also learning the skills and values needed to be a successful member of the community.

Recreation Soccer affords an opportunity for all Jefferson residents to play soccer regardless of skill level. Players looking for a more competitive program with a greater commitment to the sport can learn about our Travel Soccer program.​

Each Spring and Fall, JYS offers a variety of programs by age group to the children of Jefferson. Starting from the very first touch through to Middle School.

Jefferson Softball, Inc. is a non-profit organization endeavored to provide girls with the opportunities to play fastpitch softball. The organization is run by a Board of Directors made up of 6-8 people who volunteer their time. The organization is made up of two divisions, Recreation and Travel.
